Hattie Whitehead Quartet

This is a brand new and exciting group led buy up and coming singer Hattie Whitehead.  With a rhythm section consisting of Birmingham Conservatoire and Trinity jazz course graduates Lee Blackmore (guitar), Ida Hollis (bass) and Nat Butler (drums), the Hattie Whitehead Quartet play a mix of jazz standards, arrangements and original tunes.  Between them the band members have played with likes of Tim Whitehead, Julian Joseph, Henry Lowther and Arnie Somogyi to name just a few.  They have given live performances at Birmingham Symphony Hall, The Rainbow and The Vortex among other prominent venues.  Although only just starting her singing career, Hattie is already causing a stir with her vocal talent and has recently performed for Jazz FM promotions.

Last month the quartet recorded a short demo. You can hear them play on the tracks ‘Angel Eyes’, ‘Moonlight in Vermont’, ‘Night and Day’ and ‘The Way You Look Tonight’. Recorded and mixed by Aaron Wheeler and Todd Baker.
