Led by saxphonist Mary Wakelam, Summary is a Birmingham UK based 9-piece collective featuring vocalists Taharka and Naomi, Dan Nicholls on keys, Joe Egan on Trumpet, Joe Archer on guitar, Ida Hollis on bass, Jim Bashford on drums and recent newcomer DJ Maxwell on the decks. Their ‘Nasty Depths’ single release features a solid collection of jazz and hiphop infused soulful tracks full of lush melodies, funkafied basslines, tight rhythms, heavy horns and intoxicating lyrical flows.
